VRV Pro Dakar

The Daikin “VRV Pro” training for African countries took place in Dakar, Senegal, from 22nd until 24th of January 2008. It was the first time that a training of such kind was held on the African Continent.

The Novotel in Dakar was the temporary residence for the training and the trainees. The 19 trainees had a wide variety of backgrounds, going from architects, consultants to installers. Especially for this occasion they flew over from various African countries like Tunisia, Ivory Cost, Mali Togo, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon and of course also some locals from Senegal joined. 

The program of the training started on the 22nd day with a brief introduction on the concept of VRV and the benefits that VRV Pro software has in comparison to manual selection and VRV Xpres (the light version of Daikins’ VRV software selection tools).    
The actual software training consisted out of three parts spread over three days: “Quick” mode, “Expert” mode and an exercise on a reel project on the last day.

In the end we can confirm that all trainees where positively surprised by the capabilities of the software tool for detailed heat load calculations, temperature simulations and equipment selection. Enthusiasm was high because of the fact that they were provided with a tool which could help them along their way.
